About the musician:

Susan Tomes (KC 1972) was the first woman to read music at King’s. She is an award-winning pianist and writer. She has made over fifty CD recordings and is the author of six books about performing and piano literature. Her seventh book, now in preparation for Yale University Press, is a history of women playing the piano.
