Gillian Griffiths (KC 1980)
The Orangery
Joining King’s as a PhD student in molecular biology, Gillian Griffiths subsequently spent time in California, Switzerland and Oxford, before returning to King’s as a Fellow in 2007. As a Professor of Immunology and Cell Biology, she uses a variety of biochemical, imaging and genetic tools to study how killer T cells of the body’s immune system fight off infected cells – research that lays the foundations for improved cancer therapies.
