Anne Glover (KC 1978)
The Royal Society, St James’s
A leading authority on the role of microbes in soil, biologist Professor Dame Anne Glover’s research has been hugely important in how we detect environmental pollution, and how we respond to stress at a molecular level. An Honorary Fellow at King’s, she was the first Chief Scientific Adviser to the President of the European Commission, and the first Chief Scientific Adviser for Scotland. She studied for a PhD in Biochemistry at King’s.
