Anne-Christine Davis (KC 1986)
Fellows’ Garden
The first woman to be appointed professor in the Faculty of Mathematics at Cambridge, theoretical cosmologist Anne Davis has spent her career trying to solve one of the greatest mysteries of the cosmos: why the expansion of the universe appears to be accelerating. A keen hiker, she has consistently advocated for better representation for women at all levels of academia, and from 2014 was the University’s Gender Equality Champion for STEM subjects.
